We specialize in large, intricate roofing. Our construction methods include the use of steel reinforcing spikes, wich are a vast improvement from the origional bolt and nuts, there are no metal protrusions or nuts sticking out.

Cca treated lathes are used, and fastened onto the structure with 3 or 4 inch nails.

Once the timber structure is complete, then our thatchers begin packing on the thatch. Our thatch is cut locally during the season, and we buy stock from alternative sources such as the drakensburg . We do not use gauteng thatch, as this is too short, shortening the lifespan of the whole roof by up to ten years.

Treated thatching twine is used to stitch the thatch onto the timber. Fire proofing for your roof can also be arranged.

Our ridging is made with galvinised metal sheets, and painted with matt roof paint, other ridging materials such as fibre glass or thatch are not used because their life span much shorter.
